ATTUNEMENT

Beneath and above all else that makes us human is our ability to attune.

Attunement is the ability to sense and feel yourself in relationship to yourself -- or to another without self-forgetting. It is an art of vibrational listening that is only possible through embodiment.

To attune is to “tune with.” Attunement happens in the body as sensations arise in connection with oneself, another person, another being, or a field we are attending to. Attunement is situational, relational, and vibrational. It’s not about thinking. It’s about inhabiting a feeling space that is present and permeable to the content that lives and breathes within any connection.
