"This book offers the deeply engaged reader a reattunement of senses and mind to the miracle and incomprehensible sacredness of this Earth and biosphere, giving rise to a love affair with reality and an attendant obligation to its protection and care."
- Daniel Schmachtenberger
founder of Civilization Research Institute

"This should be in the Book of Psalms"
- Stewart Whitmore -

You feel it… a fundamental shift. Normal isn’t normal anymore. You're not alone, and you're not crazy.

True Human offers a path for those who can't—and won’t—look away from reality; for those who sense that personal transformation and our collective future are inseparable.

A poetic, provocative invitation into a kinship journey of devotion, sovereignty, and co-creation, True Human isn't about transcending our humanity or perfecting ourselves–it's about becoming more deeply, courageously, and luminously human.

For anyone longing to live with more joy, meaning, and authenticity as we reimagine ourselves and our world, this book is your companion for the road ahead.

“Sometimes we just need a mirror held up to remind us who we really are.”
Clare Dubois, founder of TreeSisters

What does it mean to be human when our way of being is unraveling the biosphere we depend upon?

What if our current story of power and purpose is only a beginning?

What if we are just starting to discover the joy and discipline of mature collaboration with the greater power of Life?

An adjacent possible world can come into being when many healed and healing humans join in interdependent devotion to Life. I don’t have all the answers. But I did not write True Human on a promise of solutions. I wrote it to generate conversations, to plant seeds we can only water together.

Join me in this epochal journey towards a world that works for Life!

“The civilizing impulse of true humans is to harmonize the forces of nature."

- Sophia

True Human is your guide to becoming who and what you truly are.

About the Author

I am a lifelong warrior for the human spirit weaving the divergent (yet critically complementary) realms of embodiment, art, community, plant medicine, futurism, and regenerative leadership, economy, and design. I’m a soul-mentor to world-shapers and the founder and spiritual director of One Life Circle. I enjoy dancing, hiking, giggling, and growing my own food. I currently inhabit the fog-kissed slopes of Mount Tamalpias in Huu’Kuiku (Southern Band Miwok) territory.
