We are living through the first truly planetary rite of passage in human history. Every system that scaffolded modern life—economic, ecological, democratic, epistemic—is simultaneously under strain. The old story is composting. A new one is struggling to be born. Most people are trying to manage this moment with the same tools that created it: more optimization, more data, more control, more noise.
The Kinship Journey is your invitation to cross the threshold .
To slow down. Listen. Read together. Practice together. Think together. Grieve together. Root into kindred devotion. And begin building the embodied courage, clarity, and capacity to navigate current and coming storms—not just for yourself, but in genuine service to your community and our world.
What is the Kinship Journey?
On April 9, 2026, we begin a deep dive into True Human: Reimagining Ourselves at the End of Our World.
Over 18 weeks, a dedicated cohort will move through all 14 chapters of the book together—not as passive readers, but as active practitioners of kindred devotion. We meet each chapter as a portal into being and becoming true humans.
This is simultaneously:

A book-reading circle — deep, facilitated engagement with one of the most important works of our time

A soul initiation — a guided journey from separation into kinship, from disconnection into belonging

A capacity-building bootcamp — developing the meta-systemic awareness, relational intelligence, and embodied wisdom required to be genuinely useful in unprecedented times
This is not a course you consume. It is a journey you undergo.

HOW WE JOURNEY TOGETHER:
WEEKLY LIVE CALLS (90 minutes)

Once a week, we gather live for teaching, practice, and group sharing. These are not lectures—they are ceremonial containers where the transmission happens in relationship. Calls are recorded and posted within hours for those who miss or join from across the globe.
KINSHIP PODS (Self-organized, 6-8 people)
Small groups meet between the main calls for deeper practice and witnessing. You and your pod will have a weekly prompt or practice to explore together. Pods self-organize their meeting times. This is where the deepest transformation happens.
ONLINE COMMUNITY (Skool platform)
Our shared digital home between calls. Ask questions, share insights, post practices, connect with your cohort. A focused container free from algorithmic distraction.
WEEKLY PRACTICES
Each chapter comes alive through embodied practices—somatic, contemplative, relational, and nature-based. 15-30 minutes per day. These are the seeds that grow into lasting change.
INTEGRATION SUPPORT
The online community remains active for 3 months after the program ends. Because transformation doesn't stop when the course is over.
What This Requires of You
Time: 3-5 hours per week

30-60 min reading and daily practice (5-6 days/week)
Devotion: This is not content to consume. It is sincere practice to embody. Show up—for yourself, the cohort, your community, our world, and the future.
The book: True Human: Reimagining Ourselves at the End of Our World by Samantha Sweetwater. We will read it together, chapter by chapter. You'll want your own copy.
Courage: You will be asked to feel what you've been avoiding, grieve what's been lost and break the spells that have kept you safe but small.

Together, we will discomver what lights up, what is less salient, and how to apply the tools of true human in our lives, work, and leadership. Deepen your relationship with the master plants with an emphasis on working with Huachuma. Learn ethical stewardship including respect of indigenous tradition, culture and land, pathways for reciprocity, and how to grow, propagate and prepare sacrament.

Hone your ability to see, feel and empower the soul's truth. Our work includes a soul-centric map for healing, wholeness and purpose, nature connection, parts work, attachment theory, the five personality patterns, and basic somatic trauma tools.
