For the April new moon, we're exploring the Fourth Remembering:

HUMANS HOLD MEMORY.

What is worth remembering? The universe replicates what is remembered?

Memory subtly binds the past and the future through the embodied present. Memory directs bodies as they co-weave Life’s fabric through choice and action. Memory informs where humans (and other organisms) place time, energy, intention, and attention and therefore shapes what will (and will not) be.

We humans keep names, songs, stories, and seeds. We store our memories both in our bodies and in our cultures. They connect us with our ancestors and histories through time and with bodies of knowledge that inform our present choices and thus shape our future. Memory is finite, so you must prioritize what gets remembered and what gets forgotten.

The memory of each thing is bound to all things. What we do not remember either chases us unconsciously or is lost in the dustbin of history—or both.

Join me for the April new moon to explore memory as a biospiritual function we serve within the Creation -- and to more consciously choose the memories you choose to tend as a custodian of Life's Song.

The Rememberings are the basic teachings of EnLifenment from Chapter 6 of True Human: Reimagining Ourselves at the End of Our World. These are ontological teachings—gateways to seeing, knowing, and experiencing ourselves as co-creative participants in Life's Song.

Let's gather not with the intention to get anywhere, but with a gentle-fierce commitment to learn, explore authentic connection, engage in good-faith inquiry, and tend the wild entanglement of our humanity. This is a Life-Centric Sangha (a community of sacred practice) where we practice EnLifenment together.
